Discovering Sports

This past Spring 2026, The Leylah Annie & Family Foundation sponsored a soccer clinic to Henderson Park, Miami, FL. It was an opportunity for local children to discover a new sport, and build community and togetherness through sport.

New passion and self discovery

The Spring Soccer Clinic at Henderson Park gave children ages 8–11 a fun and welcoming opportunity to get active, build confidence, and enjoy the game of soccer. Participants kicked the ball around, learned new skills, and shared refreshments and snacks while making new friends from the neighborhood. Beyond the sport itself, the clinic encouraged teamwork, connection, and personal growth—giving kids the chance to discover a new passion, strengthen their sense of community, and maybe even learn something new about themselves.
